Hi, I am Puja Chandra Nanda. I would like to introduce myself as a creative and prolific writer totally and absolutely in love with the written word and the tremendous power it holds!

I believe I have a natural flair for writing not having received any specific training in the field. I have rather been groomed in the field of Finance with a Masters Degree in Commerce and experience of working for a leading Stock Exchange in India. I am an Indian but currently based out of Singapore.

My passion for writing was ignited way back when I was a piggy tailed school girl digesting contents of library books by the dozen every week and the passion has never dwindled ever since. Two years back when I found myself sitting at home looking after a baby and then looked around at how media had transformed our world with the internet, social networking sites, blogs and e-zines - I could not resist the opportunity to pursue my interest again! I became a Freelance writer offering my services to several freelance sites by providing web content, product descriptions, articles, reports and also by proof-reading and editing.

However, I still yearned to break the anonymity cycle and write in my own name. My search for options brought me to Suite101 which is an exciting and amazing platform for enthusiastic writers like me. I am looking forward to writing on varied subjects. But the subjects which are dear to my heart as a mother are Pregnancy, Parenthood, Child Development and Education. The other subjects which interest me as a reader and writer are Finance and Business; Media and its influence; Health and Fitness; Ethics and Corporate Governance; Environment and Social Responsibility;Politics and World affairs; India and Hinduism. The list is inclusive not exclusive as Suite101 finally gives me the freedom as a freelancer to write on any topic I choose to!
